Demi Li is a dedicated piano teacher with a rich history in both performance and pedagogy. From her early beginnings at the age of eight, she has cultivated a deep passion for the piano, leading her to pursue advanced studies and share her knowledge with aspiring musicians.

Demi began her formal training at Orange Coast College piano scholarship program under the esteemed Dr. Brian Gould. She further honed her skills and acquired her Bachelor's Degree in Music from the University of California, Irvine, where she studied under Professor Nina Scolnik in both solo and collaborative piano. Building on her musical foundation, Demi expanded her academic pursuits and earned a Master's Degree in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. During her study there, she provided applied piano instruction, emphasizing the importance of recognizing each student's unique potential and fostering a genuine love for music.

Beyond her accomplishments as a music educator, Demi is also an inquisitive composer with a special fondness for the Guzheng. During her undergraduate study, she joined Beibei He’s Guzheng Ensemble and performed at the Bowers Museum, Nixon Library, and Soka Performing Arts Center. Later, she founded the first college-level Guzheng course at Teachers College, Columbia University, and became one of the most popular graduate instructors. Her versatility as a musician is evident in her active performance, where she continually seeks to explore and integrate new musical domains.
