ABOUT THE TEACHER

PROFESSIONAL BIO

Kelly Tsai received her Bachelor of Music from Boston University's College of Fine Arts, while studying under the guidance of Peter Zazofsky. At 12, She has achieved recognition as a top prize winner in competitions in Southern California and has recently performed in ensembles such as Boston University Orchestra, and served assistant concertmaster at the UCI’s Symphony Orchestra. She has spent her summers with festivals in Boston, California, and Philadelphia.  

Her dedication to teaching and mentoring is a testament to her commitment to the art of music. Kelly has inspired and guided students of varying skill levels, nurturing their love for the violin and helping them reach their full potential. Her pedagogical skills and ability to communicate complex musical concepts make her a valuable asset to the world of music education.

As she embarks on her master's degree in music performance at UCLA under the guidance of Movses Pogossian and Varty Manouelian, Kelly is a part of the UCLA’s Gluck Fellows Program, where she will be giving over a season full of performances throughout the LA county. Her journey continues to encompass both her exceptional talent as a violinist and her profound impact as an educator. Her future holds the promise of not only enriching the world of classical music with her performances but also shaping the next generation of musicians through her teaching.
