Joey, originally hailing from the San Jose Bay Area, has established himself as a distinguished music educator in the vibrant Southern California music scene. His musical journey led him to Loyola Marymount University, where he earned a degree in music, specializing in voice and choral conducting. Following his academic pursuits, Joey delved into the world of music education, particularly focusing on children's piano and vocal pedagogy, accumulating over a decade of valuable experience.

In 2022, Joey embarked on a new chapter in his career by becoming a member of the esteemed WePlay Music team. Within this role, he takes on a multifaceted position, offering both group and private lessons to aspiring musicians. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Joey maintains an active presence within the Music Teachers' Association of California, staying connected with fellow educators and continuously refining his teaching methodologies.
